BED-SIZE & BASE GUIDE
A better fit for a better night.

UK mattress sizes describe the sleeping surface, not the outside of a bed frame. Our double frames fit a 135 × 190 cm mattress; king frames fit 150 × 200 cm. Mattresses are not included.
Measure the whole frame
Compare the stated outer width, depth and headboard height with your room. A frame is wider and longer than its mattress. Allow access on the sides you use, opening room for drawers and a clear route to the door.
Ottoman storage
The Cotham bed has a gas-assisted lifting platform over storage. Keep hands clear of hinges, follow the assembly sequence and use only the mattress weight range specified in the supplied instructions. Never allow anyone inside a storage base.
Drawers need side clearance
The Totterdown uses two pull-out side drawers rather than a lift-up platform. Leave enough room to open them and keep the drawer route free of rugs or bedside furniture that might jam the runners.
Platform, spindle or four-poster
The Southville has a timber-and-veneer platform frame. The Bishopston uses a metal spindle construction. The Westbury adds a tall open canopy; check ceiling height and lighting positions, and do not hang heavy objects from it. These are different structures, not alternate finishes of the same bed.
Assembly and ongoing care
Use the supplied instructions, assemble on a protected level floor and ask for help lifting long rails or a headboard. Do not over-tighten fixings into timber. Recheck bolts after initial use and stop using a frame if a structural joint becomes loose or damaged.
