CORNER-SOFA GUIDE

Which way is your corner?

Clifton chaise corner — Left-hand chaise

Orientation is described as you stand facing the sofa. A left-hand chaise extends towards you on your left; a right-hand chaise is on your right. Fixed constructions are not automatically reversible.

Chaise versus full corner

A chaise gives one side a longer lounging seat. A full corner continues the seating line around a bend. The Clifton is a fixed left-hand chaise; the Henleaze has a high-backed corner construction. Choose the seating pattern that suits how you use the room.

Modular versus curved

The Ashton uses five separate modules, creating a low, deep corner. The Redland uses a curved elbow and low continuous back for a rounded shape. Do not assume modules can be rearranged into every possible layout; ask about any arrangement you need.

Sleeper and storage access

The Bedminster combines a right-hand chaise, storage and a pull-out sleep area. Check the extended sleeping footprint and space for the storage lid. Move tables before operating the mechanism, and keep children and pets clear of moving parts.

Measure depth as well as width

A corner may fit along the wall but project too far across the room. Compare both legs of the L with doors, windows and walkways. Overall dimensions include arms and back, not just the comfortable sitting area.

Care and cushions

Vacuum at low suction with an upholstery tool. Rotate loose cushions where the construction allows. Blot spills; do not rub or saturate foam. Follow the supplied care instructions before applying any cleaner.
